RMFL COUNCIL NOMINATION 2026

In accordance with RMFL’s constitution and bylaws, the RMFL hosts an Annual General Meeting. Every year, this meeting includes the election of council members who are responsible and accountable for the governance and operations of the organization. All of the council is made up of volunteers who have a shared passion for the growth and success of the RMFL and its programs.

This year, we are holding our Annual General Meeting during the Banquet to help facilitate more engagement and participation from our membership. To simplify the process, we are completing the nomination for council members in advance of the AGM. This allows us to welcome nominations and give potential council members time to accept or reject the nomination. So here’s the process:

Step #1- Nomination
Anyone who is an active member of RMFL can fill in the form below to nominate an Active, Associate, or Honourary Member to be on Council. Your nomination can be for that person to be in an executive position or a general position. (You can not nominate yourself)

Notes:
- “Active Member” is a parent/legal-guardian who had a fully paid registered player/cheerleading during the 2025 year).
- “Associate Member” is someone who currently and actively volunteers with RMFL for a minimum of 24 months
- “Honorary Member” is someone who has been appointed an honorary membership via an approved Board motion due to their long years of volunteer service.

Step #2 - Acceptance of Nomination
After we receive the nomination, we will contact the nominated person to confirm their acceptance or rejection of the nomination.

Step #3 - Annual General Meeting
If there are more than 1 accepted nomination for executive positions, we will host an election at the Annual General Meeting. We will provide the membership with some information about the nominees in advance of the AGM to allow everyone the opportunity to get-to-know the candidates before voting. If there is only one nomination for executive positions, that person will be appointed to the position by acclamation.
