RAIDERS COACHING STANDARDS

Our association has a focus of inclusion, positivity, and community. Our role as coaches comes with a responsibility to act in a manner that reflects these values. Coaches play a crucial role in youth development and our Raiders mentality is to support each other through situations. On the field our attitude should reflect teamwork, resiliency, and respect.

We are grateful to everyone for donating their time, efforts and knowledge to the youth and families involved with our programs…Together, we are stronger!!


 

CRIMINAL RECORD CHECK

 

As a non-profit organization providing programs for youth in our community, it is the policy of Richmond Minor Football League to ensure all coaches and council members have an annual Criminal Record Check completed.


 

RAIDERS CODE OF CONDUCT

Our success and reputation is driven by our passion for sportsmanship and our commitment to work as a team. Please review and complete the coaches section of our Code of Conduct.


 

COACHING CERTIFICATION

 

The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) provides a free program called the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) and it includes standardized, inclusive, and safe sport education to coaches and coach developers across 65 sports.

We require ALL coaches to:

  1. Making Headway Concussion eLearning - Click here for more information about this course (Approx. 45 minutes to complete).

  2. Safe Sport Course - Click here for more information about this course (Approx. 45 minutes to complete).

Note: British Columbia Provincial Football Association (BCPFA), in accordance with Football Canada (FC) mandates, provides clinics for novice community coaching, safe contact, and introduction to competition each year. , Making Ethical Decisions (MED) training should be taken prior to taking the online evaluation.
