We take pride in providing football and cheerleading programs that are available to all youth (under the age of 19) regardless of ability, ethnicity, gender, religion, income, or sexual orientation. 

Our culture continues to provide a supportive team environment for several youth and families. 

We also ensure our registration fees are one of the lowest of all community sports to help make our programs available to everyone.


SPRING SEASON PROGRAMS


FLAG FOOTBALL

FLAG FOOTBALL

Spring season is for fast action fun flag football for new and returning players of all experience levels. The game is non-contact, 5v5 flag football with games played at jamborees throughout the Lower Mainland.

Pratice Schedule:

  • Practices start March 12, 2024 and end after the Provincials on end in early June.

  • Practices will be 60 minutes at Minoru Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings. Practice times are tentatively set as:

    U8 & U10 - 5:30-6:30pm
    U12 & U14 - 6:45-7:45pm
    U16 & U19 - 8:00-9:00pm

Game Schedule:

  • Game Jamborees will start April 20th with teams playing 3 or 4 that are 25-min each. We anticipate 6 tournaments, typically held on Saturdays at various locations across the Lower Mainland.

  • The season games wrap up at the Provincials on June 8 & 9.

  • Game times and additional details for each Jamboree will be provided by the Vancouver Mainland Football League.

Ages: 6 to 18 (Registration full/closed for ages 10-18)

Cost:

  • $275.00 per player

  • All above fees includes players insurance, games fees, and annual membership fees (Football Canada, BCPFA and VMFL)

  • All game equipment is provided by Raiders (ex. flags, footballs, etc)

  • Fee includes a game jersey & shorts and a basic mouthguard. Players are to bring their own cleats and water bottle.

Go Raiders! Our cheer program is for boys and girls and is a fun way to be part of the action. Our program is open to any experience level and first-timers with a focus on flexibility, form, strength and balance while reinforcing cheers. Our cheer squad will foster an energetic and safe environment where everyone is welcome and included!

Our spring cheer season is an in-house program.

Practice Schedule
Practices start March 12, 2024 and the season ends in early June.
Practices will be 60 minutes, held at Minoru Field on Tuesdays and Thursdays evenings. Practice times are typically set as:

  • 5:45pm-7:00pm will be Atom (2019-2016) and Peewee (2015-2013)

  • 7:15pm-8:45pm will be Jr Bantam & Senior (2012-2006)

Performance Schedule
As this is an in-house program, performances will be at our Richmond Raiders hosted flag-football jamboree and our our Richmond Raiders spring wrap-up event. Dates and times are still to be determined.

Ages: 5 to 18

Cost: $175.00 per cheerleader. Fees include a uniform, insurance, and membership fees.

FALL FOOTBALL

The fall season is the primary program for the Raiders and has been successful in the community for over 50 years. We welcome players of all experience and skills. For the fall season, our programs include:

Ages 6 & 7 play 5vs5 non-contact flag football with 2x20min halves on a 25x60 yard field

Ages 8&9 play 9vs9 flag football with contact blocking on a full sized field.

Ages 10-18 are all tackle football separated into 4 divisions: Peewee, Jr.Bantam, Bantam, and Midget. All divisions are declared for 12vs12 Canadian football. The declaration of a 9vs9 team is dependent on registration numbers across the league.

Schedule:
Practices start July 11 and ends in early December.
Practices will be held at Minoru Field on Tuesdays and Thursday evenings. Mini, Atom, and Peewee age groups practice 5:30pm-7:00pm and Jr Bantam, Bantam and Midget practice 7:15-9:00pm. Saturday morning practices will be added starting in August.
Games are primarily on Sundays starting in September at various locations across the Lower Mainland.

Ages: 5 to 18

Cost:

  • $300.00 per player ages 6-9 for Mini U8 Flag and Atom U10 Flag

  • $350.00 - Peewee U12 Tackle, Jr Bantam U14 Tackle, Bantam U16 Tackle, and Midget U19 Tackle

  • All above fees includes players insurance, games fees, and annual membership fees (Football Canada, BCPFA and VMFL)

  • All equipment, practice and game gear are provided with a $400 deposit (returned upon equipment return).

Performances will be at Richmond home football games on Sundays starting in September and a wrap-up Cheer event with performances at the end of the season.

Cost: $175.00. Fees include insurance, and membership fees. Uniforms are provided but are to be returned at the end of the season.
